What did you do to you A-Body today?!?!

Being it was 82F here or so, I checked that my AC by duster is still working from the R12->HFC154a (duster) conversion several years ago. Yup, still working great!

Replaced the radiator (deal from Amazon) and the short, silicone, 3/4" hose between the heater return pipes over top the exhaust cross over. I'll reinstall the fan after I'm positive the twin transmission cooler pipes aren't leaking at the fittings.

I washed my 84 Century! Sounds like not much; but the pressure washer has been broken down for a while. Got that fixed and gave the car a shower!

By the way; happy to see that this forum has been created. There are other forums but none dedicated to just the A cars. Facebook groups are there but I have very little patience with the drama on that platform. I remember many good times on the old forums when I was building my turbocharged car projects. Still have them, plus a LeSabre Grand National has been added to my collection.

As with all of us, things change over time. I'm not doing as many car projects but still enjoying my old cars daily.

Sincerely,
David

LeSabre GN... wasn't that the one they offered in '86 with the funky quarter windows? And only made a small number of them?

Yep! As you might expect there are quite a few arguments around the exact numbers, but approximately 117 were produced with around 112 sold to the public. It has different ground effects and front end spoiler, plus the smaller rear windows with plastic inserts. These were NASCAR homologation cars and had to have the same external dimensions as the race car body. The LGN came with a naturally aspirated 3.8L V6 LG3 engine. I did build a turbo system for mine.

You seem to have a knack for just simply getting things done. Maybe one day I'll finally find the time to do a turbo engine build for my Celebrity and I'll be asking for advice. Until then, the stock 2.8 liters of raw horsepower will have to do, lol.
